The Chicago Tribune’s review of Cicada said “Dye’s voice is most definitely authentic and his understanding of trauma and loss palpable.” Chicago Theatre Review described the play as “a poetic southern drama riding over waves of angst and anger, laced with moments of unexpected humor. The play takes place in rural Mississippi in July 1974 and deals with isolation where memories become real moving the audience backward and forward in time.

The cast calls for one man and one woman 30 years of age or older and no advance preparation is needed. John McCustion will direct and production dates are February 23, 24, and 25th.
