Auditions for Dinner With Friends

TCT Off Broadway will hold auditions for Dinner with Friends by Donald Margulies on Sunday, October 11th at 5 p.m. at 213 East Franklin. Winner of the 2000 Pulitzer Prize. “…Margulies writes about relationships with such intelligence and spiky humor that his comedy-drama…becomes something quite wonderful.” —Time Magazine The play deals with two married couples who have been best of friends for years. A Christmas Carol Auditions

Tupelo Community Theatre will hold auditions for the holiday classic A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens on October 11 at 2 p.m. and October 12 at 6 p.m. at TCT Off Broadway at 213 East Franklin Street.  The play has a large cast of both adult and children’s roles and children should be at least 8 years of age to audition.   Derek Russell will direct and no advance preparation is needed.  The story tells of Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey from an embittered, ungenerous creature into a giving, caring human being at the hands of three spirits, who, one Christmas Eve, show him what life means.  The show is part of the TCT season with production dates December 10-12.  For more information contact d[email protected] or call 844-1935.

Mini-season ticket package

Tupelo Community Theatre is offering a Mini-season package for its remaining productions for 2015-2016.  The shows are A Christmas Carol December 10-12, 2015, You Can’t Take it With You  January 28-30, 2016, A Higher Place in Heaven March 10-12, 2016, Mary Poppins April 28-30, 2016.  The package prices start at $50 and may be purchased by call 844-1935.

Tenth annual Haunted Theatre

Tupelo Community Theatre’s tenth Haunted Theatre will be presented October 16-17, 23-24, and 30-31 at the Lyric Theatre in Downtown Tupelo.  Tickets are $15 each and offers many different haunt experiences.  It begins at 7 p.m. each evening.   The Haunted Theatre is not recommended for children under the age of 10.  Tickets may be purchased at the door.  For more information contact the TCT office at 844-1935 or visit www.tct.ms.

Haunted Theatre Auditions

DSC_0039Tupelo Community Theatre’s 10th annual Haunted Theatre will begin its preparation by holding two audition dates on September 5th and 12th at 10 a.m. at the Lyric Theatre. If you would like to be part of haunted theatre you must attend one of the two workshops. Directors Steve Miller and David Dawson remind everyone that this meeting is mandatory, no exceptions. TCT’s ’s own Todd Barnett will be instructing an acting class Haunted Theatre dates this year are: October 16th &17th, 23rd & 24th, 30th, and 31st. . Auditions for Monsters Under the Bed

Tupelo Community Theatre Off Broadway will hold auditions for its production of Monsters Under the Bed by Gay Hammond on Sunday, August 30, @ 2:00 at 213 East Franklin and Monday, August 31, @ 6:00 pm at Saltillo Elementary School Auditorium 424 S 3rd Avenue in Saltillo.  The cast is made up of youth in grades 6th-8th and no advance preparation is necessary.  The children’s production is a wild and physical anthology of stories and poems from cultures all over the world about trolls, ghosts, beasties and other things that go bump in the night!  Production dates for the show are October 29 and 30 at 7:30.  For more information call 844-1935.
