Scholarship Deadline April 15th
Tupelo Community Theatre offers four $500 scholarships each year to students attending Mississippi high schools and universities. Students must complete at least 12 hours each semester (or its equivalent if on the quarter system) and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA. Details about each scholarship and the application form may be obtained at www.tct.ms . Applications must be received no later than April 15th. Recipients will be notified by June 1st. Take advantage of date night at the Lyric
Tupelo Community Theatre is pleased to announce a new partnership with HealthWorks! to offer PLAY Time! for children ages 4-12 for parents enjoy a Friday evening performance at the Lyric Theatre. The evening activities will include time on the Fun-tastic floor, health story shop games and challenges in the Zoom Room, cialis crafts and activities at the Health Hut, and quiet time options after 8 p.m. Cost is $30 per child and $15 per sibling and includes dinner & a healthy snack. TCT Wins SETC
\n\nTupelo Community Theatre was presented the 2015 Outstanding Production award for Lone Star at the Southeastern Theatre Conference Community Theatre Festival in Chattanooga, viagra order purchase TN. Actor John McCustion was presented an Outstanding Achievement in Acting award for his portrayal of Ray in the show. Jamie Fair as Roy and Nathan Taylor as Cletus complete the cast. The show received the Spirit of the Road award given by the host theatre’s production staff for TCT’s professionalism. This was the second year in a row TCT won the festival taking home the top honor for The Santaland Diaries in 2014 in Mobile. Both productions were produced at the groups newest venue, buy nurse remedy TCT Off Broadway Theatre.\n\nJason West was the original director of Lone Star. Tom Booth and Lynn Nelson served as festival directors, site prostate with Tracie Maxey Conwill as assistant director/stage manager. Suzanne Oakley and the cast designed costumes and Bronwyn Teague served as sound and light designer. TCT is one of 12 theatre groups from across the United States that will compete in June in Grand Rapids, MI at the American Association of Community Theatre AACTFEST 2015.
The Trip To Bountiful
\n\nTupelo Community Theatre will present The Trip to Bountiful by Horton Foote March 19-21 at the Lyric Theatre. The funny and touching play tells the poignant story of a woman in the twilight of her life with a fervent wish to revisit the small Texas town of her youth. The production will be at 7:30 each evening and also a matinee at 2 p.m. on March 21st. Seasons members may reserve tickets anytime. Tickets go on sale to the public at Noon on March 9th and are $18 for adults and $6 for students and younger. For more information or to reserve tickets call 844-1935.
