Journey “under the sea” with Ariel and her aquatic friends in The Little Mermaid, Jr., adapted from Disney’s Broadway production and the beloved motion picture. In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home – and her fins – behind to live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been seeking. 

Auditions for TCT’s summer youth production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jr. are Monday, April 29th and Tuesday, April 30th on the stage of the Lyric and will follow the schedule below:

Monday, April 29th 4:00 p.m. Entering Kindergarten through entering 2nd grade **limited number of roles**

5:30 p.m. Entering 3rd grade through entering 6th grade

Tuesday, April 30th 5:30 p.m. Entering 7th grade through 12th grade

**Parents – please note that if your student is cast there will be a mandatory parent meeting held on Thursday, May 2nd at 6:00 p.m.**

Acting and solo singing will be required at auditions for all named roles. No advance preparation is required. All audition material will be taught at auditions. Students/parents should be prepared to list any known dates when the student will be out of town during the months of May and June on the audition form.

Female Roles: Ariel (entering 9th grade and up) – The little mermaid with a big voice who longs to be human Ursula (entering 9th grade and up) – The manipulative sea witch who tries to overthrow King Triton Mersisters/Princesses (entering 7th grade and up) – Ariel’s sisters who are full of personality and sass / Princesses on land who try everything to win the heart of Prince Eric Carlotta (entering 7th grade and up) – The headmistress in Prince Eric’s palace and Ariel’s greatest human ally

Male Roles: Prince Eric (entering 9th grade and up) – The adventurous prince who captures Ariel’s heart King Triton (entering 9th grade and up) – The king of the sea who is a force to be reckoned with Grimsby (entering 7th grade and up) – Prince Eric’s prim and proper valet (those auditioning must attempt an English accent) Chef Louis (entering 7th grade and up) – The over-the-top and crazy chef of the palace (those auditioning must attempt a French accent) Pilot (entering 7th grade and up) – The head sailor on Prince Eric’s ship

Any gender: Sebastian (entering 3rd grade and up) – The meticulous and anxious crab who tries to keep Ariel safe (those auditioning must attempt a Caribbean accent) Flounder (entering 3rd grade and up) – Ariel’s sincere and sensitive best friend Flotsam/Jetsam (entering 3rd grade and up) – Ursula’s slippery spies Scuttle (entering 3rd grade and up) – The know-it-all seagull who serves as Ariel’s expert on humans Max (entering K through entering 2nd grade) – Prince Eric’s lovable pup – *non-speaking role* Seahorse (entering K through entering 2nd grade) – The court herald for King Triton
