Tupelo Community Theatre will present Last Train to Nibroc by Arlene Hutton on January 25-27 at 7:30 p.m. and January 27 at 2 p.m. at the Lyric Theatre. In December 1940, an east-bound cross-country train carries May, who shares her seat with a charming young flyer, Raleigh. Religious and bookish, May plans to be a missionary. Auditions for Last Train to Nibroc

Tupelo Community Theatre will hold auditions for Last Train to Nibroc by Arlene Hutton October 15th at 2 p.m. and 16th at 6 p.m. in the lobby of the Lyric Theatre. Set in 1940, Last Train to Nibroc is a funny and touching portrait of the search for happiness. This simply staged romance tells the story of May and Raleigh, two young people on a cross-country train trip who discover they are from neighboring towns. Raleigh is headed to New York to be a writer, but love blooms and complications abound when he follows his heart – and May – to Kentucky instead. “You could easily enjoy another few hours of this.” —NY Times The cast calls for one male and one female who can play characters from 20 – 30 years old.
