Disney’s The Lion King JR
Tupelo Community Theatre will present its summer youth production of Disney’s The Lion King JR, with music and lyrics by Elton John and Tim Rice, June 21st and 22nd at 7:30 p.m. and 23rd at 2 p. m. at the Lyric Theatre in downtown Tupelo. Based on the Broadway production the show has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world and now, for the first time ever, TCT has the opportunity to produce this one-of-a-kind musical. The African savannah comes to life on stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle… and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and younger and may be reserved by calling the box office at 662-844-1935.
Auditions for Disney’s Lion King Jr
Tupelo Community Theatre will hold auditions for its summer youth production of Disney’s The Lion King JR. at the Lyric Theatre on April 30 at 6:30 for third grade through fifth and May 1 at 6:30 p.m. from sixth through ninth grade. Everyone will be required to sing and read from the script but no advance preparation is needed. Disney’s The Lion King brings the African savannah to life on stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle… and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale. Shrek The Musical Jr.
Tupelo Community Theatre’s will present its summer youth production of Shrek The Musical JR. on June 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. and June 24 @ 2 p.m. at the Lyric Theatre on Broadway in downtown Tupelo. Everyone’s favorite ogre is back in this hilarious stage spectacle, based on the Oscar-winning smash hit film and outrageous Broadway musical. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and younger and may be purchased anytime by calling the TCT box office at 844-1935.

Summer Youth Theatre Auditions
Tupelo Community Theatre will hold auditions for its summer youth production
of Shrek The Musical JR. on March 27 and 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the rehearsal
hall of the Lyric Theatre. Everyone’s favorite ogre is back in this
hilarious stage spectacle, based on the Oscar-winning smash hit film and
outrageous Broadway musical. Those auditioning for this large cast should be
rising third graders through high school seniors. Everyone will be required
to sing and read from the script but no advance preparation is needed.
Production dates for the show are June 22-24 Danielle Adams will direct.

Cinderella Photos

Tupelo Community Theatre will offer patrons the opportunity to take photos of Cinderella, the Prince and the Golden Carriage on stage at the Lyric Theatre following each performance of Cinderella Kids June 16 and 17 @ 7:30 and 18 at 2 p.m.
Tickets for the production are $10 for adults and $5 for students and younger. Patrons should bring their own camera/phone and the cost is $5 for each person being photographed. Children are encourage to wear their Cinderella costumes if they like. For more information or to purchase tickets call 844-1935.
