Auditions for Deathtrap

Tupelo Community Theatre will hold auditions for the thriller Deathtrap, by Ira Levin, on Monday, November 15 and Tuesday, November 16 at 6:00 pm in the rehearsal hall of the Lyric Theatre, 201 N. Broadway in downtown Tupelo.

Described as two-thirds thriller and one-third a devilishly clever comedy the audience will suspend their disbelief, be delighted and possibly scream a little.

The cast consist of men ages 20 and older and women 30 and older and no advanced preparation is required.

Becky’s New Car at TOB

Tupelo Community Theatre’s production of Becky’s New Car is preparing for its shows coming up November 11-13, 2021 at TCT Off Broadway, 213 East Franklin Street.  

Have you ever been tempted to flee your own life? Becky Foster is caught in middle age, middle management and a middling marriage–nothing is quite wrong, but nothing is quite right either. Then one night a grief-struck millionaire stumbles into her office and Becky is offered nothing short of a new life. The audience is offered a chance to ride shotgun on the hilarious and touching journey down the road not taken.

Auditions for Irving Berlin’s White Christmas

Tupelo Community Theatre will hold auditions for Irving Berlin’s musical White Christmas on October 18th and 19th at 6 p.m. at the Lyric Theatre, 201N. Broadway in downtown Tupelo.  Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features 17 Irving Berlin songs and tells of two veterans that have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II.  With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters in route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge. 

The cast is made up of adult men and women high school age or older. Anyone wishing to audition for the 9 year old girl role should email [email protected] to set up an appointment.  Those auditioning will be taught a short song they will be asked to sing.   Production dates are December 9-11.  For more information call the TCT office at 662-844-1935 or email the director at [email protected].

Senior Troop

Tupelo Community Theatre continues working toward making our Senior Troop happen.  We are considering the play Poe! Poe! Poe! The Life and Writings of Edgar Allan Poe in a Reader’s Theatre style.
