n 1993, the North Annex was added to the Lyric Theatre. The original building, as seen on the left below, has been maintained in much the same configuration as the original structure.
The annex, shown on the right, contains the business office and scene shop and -- on the second floor -- dressing rooms and a rehearsal hall. Funded entirely by contributions from members of the community, the North Annex has made the Lyric one of the more convenient community theatre venues in the southeast.

One of the more immediate benefits realized from building the North Annex was the relocation of the business office from upstairs, behind the tech booth, to a location on Broadway, at the front of the building. Our business manager, Lee Walsh, maintains regular office hours from 9 a.m. til noon, Monday through Friday -- except during the week of performances, when hours are 9 a.m. til 3 p.m. In addition to convenient access to members and the public during daily office hours, the location serves as our "will-call" window on performance nights.
