Of Mice and Men
Tupelo Community Theatre will present John Steinbeck’s classic Of Mice and Men January 23rd -25th, 2020 at the historic Lyric Theatre in downtown Tupelo. The play, first produced in 1937, looks at loss and longing among migrant workers scratching out a living in Depression-era California. It is considered one of the principal works of its Nobel Prize-winning author. Productions are at 7:30 each evening, with a matinee at 2 p.m. on January 25th. Audiences should be warned that the play contains harsh language, including heavy profanity and offensive racial slurs commonly used by laborers in the 1930’s.
