PVT. WARS WINS AWARDS AT SETC

Tupelo Community Theatre’s production of PVT. WARS represented Mississippi at the Southeastern Theatre Conference in Greensboro, find no rx NC March 2-7.\n\nPVT WARS won Outstanding Set Design, treatment Outstanding Light Design and Jamie Fair won an award for Outstanding Acting.\n\nThe production was the Mississippi Theatre Association Festival Winner for Best Production, try Over All Technical Excellence, Best Scenic Design, Best Ensemble, Best Actor for Josh Sullivan and All Star Cast for Jamie Fair and John McCustion.\n\nThanks to all our patrons and friends who helped us attend SETC!\n\n\n\n

Auditions for The Boys Next Door

NOTE-ONE ADDITIONAL NIGHT OF AUDITIONS ADDED\n\nTCT Off Broadway will hold auditions for The Boys Next Door by Tom Griffin on February 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the rehearsal hall of the Lyric Theatre. Production dates are April 7 and 8. Set in the Boston area, sale seek the play deals with four men with various mental disabilities who live in a group home. It takes place over roughly a two-month period and consists of brief vignettes about their lives. The adult cast is made up of 7 men and 2 women, ask ages 18 and older. Tupelo Community Theatre announces MARY POPPINS auditions: February 1 & 2, shop try 6pm, ampoule stuff onstage at the Lyric both nights. Suzanne Oakley will direct, assisted by Christi Houin. Scott Munson will direct music.\n\nNeed a large group of adults 20 & up, some teens 15-19, a girl who can play 11, and a boy who can play 9. Also looking for one strong ballet/lyrical dancer and 10-15 tap dancers. All must sing.\n\nNo advance prep necessary. Tupelo Community Theatre will present You Can’t Take It With You by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman on January 28-30 at 7:30 p.m. and on January 30 at 2 p.m. This is the 80th anniversary of the hilarious comedy’s first production and it just completed a revival on Broadway.
