The Lyric Krewe, Tupelo Community Theatre’s support organization, will present their 15th Annual Street Fiesta, Music, Monet, and Margaritas, on June 2nd from 7:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. The event will be on Broadway in front of the Lyric and will include music by the Jam Band and a silent auction of local artist’s work. Tickets are $25 and include food provided by Outback steakhouse and your first drink TCT also needs volunteers to help with set-up, gate, bar, food, or clean up, Work for two hours and enjoy the event on us! The comedy deals with three friends and how their friendship is finally tested when one of them purchases a very expensive piece of “art”. Reza is a fiendishly clever writer…’ART’ sounds like a marriage of Molière and Woody Allen…\” —Newsweek. The play contains language that some patrons may find offensive. 10 Auditions for The Marvelous Wonderettes Auditions for The Marvelous Wonderettes Starts: 2:00 pm Ends: June 10, 2018 - 4:00 pm Location: Tupelo Community Theatre, 201 N. Broadway, Tupelo, MS Description: Tupelo Community Theatre will hold auditions for the smash off-Broadway hit The Marvelous Wonderettes, created by Roger Bean, June 10th at 2 pm, and June 11 at 6 pm in the rehearsal hall of the Lyric Theatre. The musical takes you to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where we meet four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts! Later the Wonderettes reunite to take the stage and perform at their ten-year reunion. Featuring over 30 classic '50s and '60s hits, The Marvelous Wonderettes will keep you smiling in this must-take musical trip down memory lane! The cast is made up of adult women ages 18-40 and must be able to sing. No advance preparation is necessary. Christi Houin will direct, with David East as musical director.
