‘Night, Mother Celebration Performance

Tupelo Community Theatre will present a One Night Only celebration performance of the multiple award winning ‘Night, Mother on February 22nd  at 7:30 p.m. at TCT Off Broadway 213 East Franklin Street.  The 1983 Pulitzer Prize winning play was nominated for four Tony Awards including Best Play.  The story deals with Jessie, and her mother, Thelma, their life together and the daughters struggles with divorce, a wayward son and illness.  TCT will represent Mississippi at the Southeastern Theatre Conference Community Theatre Festival in Louisville, KY on Feb 28th.  This is TCT’s 10th trip to compete at SETC, winning 3 times.  Tickets are $30 with the evening  including food, drink and the performance.   To purchase tickets call the TCT box office at 662-844-1935.

Moon Over Buffalo

Tupelo Community Theatre will present Ken Ludwig’s Moon Over Buffalo March 5 – 7 at 7:30 p.m. and also a Saturday matinee on the March 7th at 2 p.m. at the Lyric Theatre in Downtown Tupelo. This show is a raucous farce about a dysfunctional theatre troupe at the Erlander Theatre in Buffalo, New York, in 1953. The troupe winds its way through a tangle of confusion to produce a misbegotten mixture of two plays at the same time. The comedy is witty and filled with laughter and slapstick comedy.
