Auditions for The Trip To Bountiful

 \n\nTupelo Community Theatre will hold auditions for The Trip to Bountiful on Sunday, best viagra viagra January 11 at 2 p.m. and Monday, January 12 at 7 p.m. in the rehearsal hall of the Lyric Theatre.  This poignant story tells of an aging widow living with her son and daughter-in-law.  Fearing that her presence may be an imposition she imagines that if she can return to her old home in the town of Bountiful, she is sure to regain her strength, dignity and peace of mind. The drama is one of the most celebrated works by the academy award winning southern playwright Horton Foote and is considered one of America’s most important plays.  Created sixty years ago as a television play for silent film star Lilian Gish the show has attracted leading performers of the American theatre.   Geraldine Page won an Oscar for Best Actress in 1985 film version.  Cicely Tyson won a Tony award for her performance in an all-African-American production on Broadway last year.  In addition to the older woman there are roles for six adult men and five women.   Production dates for the show are March 19-21.  For more information call 844-1935.

Graceland

\n\nTCT Off Broadway will present the play Graceland by Ellen Byron on January 8, capsule recipe 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. at 213 East Franklin.  The play is part of Tupelo’s Elvis 80th birthday celebration. The story takes place at the front entrance of Graceland three days before the estate is to be opened to the public. Two ardent Presley fans are camped out, each determined to be the first to enter the sacred precincts. McAnally Returns to the Lyric!

Tupelo Community Theatre will present Mississippi native and award winning musician Mac McAnally in a concert on December 12th  at 7:30 p.m. in the historic Lyric Theatre.   As the reigning six-time Country Music Association Musician of the Year winner, cialis sale treatment Mac has been honored with ASCAP and Nashville Songwriters Association International awards for “Down The Road, troche ” the Kenny Chesney smash which hit Mac wrote. Opening act will be singer, song-writer, musician, Tim Warren

Auditions-Father of the Bride

Tupelo Community Theatre will hold auditions for Father of the Bride by Caroline Francke from the novel by Edward Streeter on Monday, salve viagra December 1st and Tuesday, diagnosis December 2 at 6 pm at TCT Off Broadway at 213 East Franklin Street.\n\nFather of the Bride was made into a 1950 motion picture starring Spencer Tracey, Joan Bennett, and Elizabeth Taylor.\n\nPerformance dates are February 5-7, 2015 and Jonathan Martin will direct. Les Miserables – Auditions Info

Les Miserables will schedule callbacks as needed and the director will be in touch if they need to see you again.  The cast will be announced when it is completed.  Children’s auditions are tentatively planned for January and details will be announced as soon as possible.
